Tokubetsu
Premium Japanese Tea & Ceramics

Where our teas are from

At Tokubetsu, every tea is personally sourced from small, family-run farms that prioritize organic farming and quality.

We currently offer three types of tea: Sencha from the Danouen farm in Shizuoka, and Genmaicha and Houjicha from the Nakai farm in Kyoto. Both families have been cultivating tea for generations, driven by a deep passion for creating the finest products.

The word Tokubetsu means “special” and “unique” in Japanese, and we strive to live up to that name. Our goal is to provide rare, high-quality teas and ceramics that are not readily available internationally, while supporting small producers who don’t ship globally.

A Sip for Health, A Boost for Life

Looking for a gentle wake-up, glowing skin, or relaxation? Our Japanese teas are packed with antioxidants, boost heart health, and energize with less caffeine than coffee. Whether it’s the antioxidant-rich Sencha, the light and soothing Genmaicha, or the calming roasted Houjicha, there’s a perfect cup for every moment.

Fun Fact: Shizuoka, Japan’s top tea region, is also a longevity hotspot!

Drink tea, do good – €1 from each purchase supports the Estonian Refugee Council.

Continuing our practice since 2022, a portion of sales will be donated to the Estonian Refugee Council for Ukraine.
We will contribute €1 from each tea item sold.

So far, we’ve donated €447 from sales in 2022 and 2023, and we’re continuing this effort to make a meaningful impact.
